If he hadn’t been born into a family dedicated to public service, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan believes he would have been a professor or travelled the world taking pictures and writing. But, given the singularity of human life, he divides his time between Chennai and Madurai, is a parent to two teenaged sons, five dogs (four rescued), and a surly cat. He serves as            Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services by day and reluctantly crunches numbers and writes op-eds when off-duty.
